Don’t Forget Elephant Crib Bedding When Decorating Your Nursery

By Erica A Brooks

Decorating a baby’s nursery in elephant crib bedding may not be the first theme that comes to mind, but it is certainly one worth considering. There is nothing better than having baby animals throughout an infant’s room, as these adorable creatures add an instant cuteness factor that your little one is sure to love!

The type of bedding you choose for your baby’s nursery will determine the look and feel of your infant’s bedroom, which is why you want to give your selection some careful thought. Not only should your baby’s nursery bedding be soft, warm and snuggly, but you also want to create an atmosphere that is welcoming for both you and the baby. After all, any new parent knows that you will be spending plenty of time in your little one’s nursery during the first year of life!

Jungle animals are some of the most popular animals found on baby bedding, most notably, baby elephants. These gray animals are often accented with green, blue or brown colors, being perfect for a modern or contemporary look. Best of all, elephant crib bedding is suitable for both baby girls and baby boys, so you can choose this type of bedding if you don’t know the sex of your baby, or you can pass it along to siblings down the road. For something feminine, you can opt for a pink elephant bedding collection, while boys love elephants accented in green or blue hues. If you plan on using the same bedding set throughout your child’s toddler or childhood years, make sure you choose an elephant set that is suitable for older children as well.

Perhaps one of the greatest appeals to elephant crib bedding is that tots love animals, and the elephant is one that can be seen at the zoo, in kids’ books and in toddler videos. This makes the crib bedding all the more kid-friendly, allowing your little one to dream about elephants. Depending on your preference, consider elephant prints that feature gentle curves, while others offer more realistic-looking elephants. Other jungle animals can also be featured on the bedding, or you can choose a set that is exclusively elephant-themed.

Also consider the material of the bedding collection, as some are made from cotton, while others are made from soft silk, suede or velour. Whatever elephant crib bedding set you choose, your infant is sure to be delighted with these graceful jungle animals.

Elephant Baby Bedding – For a Nursery Your Little Boy Will Never Forget

By Fenella McPherson

As expectant parents are embarking upon the decoration of a nursery for their new son, they are generally experiencing enormous feelings of joy and wanting to spread some of that joy throughout the special space they are creating for this already-beloved little boy. They want his room to be a place filled with love and laughter, and so they look for lighthearted themes and designs which will help them accomplish that goal.

Zoo and circus animals make wonderfully cheery nursery motifs, and none is more likely to bring a great big grin to a baby’s face than a great big friendly elephant. The popular pachyderm, with its floppy ears and its versatile long trunk, is the gentle giant of the jungles, so it is no surprise that he stars in so many children’s storybooks and appears on so many items of baby boy bedding.

Elephant baby bedding includes linens and matching nursery articles which feature elephants by themselves or in their jungle habitat surrounded by such appealing jungle pals as comical cavorting monkeys and improbably long-necked giraffes. You’ll find a fairly diverse assortment of colors, ranging from jungle-oriented earth tones to the softest of pastels.

You can buy your nursery items separately or in a coordinated packaged set which contains a number of useful and decorative accessories along with all the required linens (other than some extra crib or cradle sheets). The latter option is the one favored by most parents-to-be, since it is significantly less costly and significantly less time consuming. Make sure all sheets are sized to fit snugly on the mattress they’re destined for, and check that any quilted pieces are not so heavy or puffy as to be dangerous to a helpless infant.

Choose one of the lightest or coolest hues in your preferred bedding patterns to use as a color for one or more of the bedroom’s walls; and don’t forget to do any painting long enough in advance for paint fumes to dissipate completely before baby gets home. Consider selecting a crib that can be converted to a youth bed down the road and a changing table that can eventually be put to use as a desk or computer table, so you won’t have to entirely revamp the room (and spend a lot more money in the process) as your son grows older.

You might also want to think about picking up a few of the much-loved children’s books with charming elephant heroes, so you and your little one can share the stories while surrounded by the images on his elephant-themed crib bedding.
